This recipe is without the high fructose corn syrup you find in most of the brands found at your grocer.
2 cups fresh diced or canned tomatoes
1 4 oz can tomato paste
1/2 red pepper, diced
1/4 cup quartered onions
1/8 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp celery seed
2 carrots, cut into chunks
1/8 cup lemon juice or to taste
salt to taste, optional
garlic powder to taste, optional
Place all the ingredients in blender and blend until smooth and mixed well. Transfer mixture to small saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is of desired consistency. This can be frozen or canned according to canning instructions.
