Quick and easy granola cereal that you can customize to your liking. You can also use it on top of fruit, ice cream, yogurt and more.
Ingredients:
4 cups old fashion oats
2 cups of wheat flakes
1 1/2 cups wheat germ
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
1 1/2 cups crushed soynuts
1 cup pecan meal
1 Tbl ground cinnamon
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 honey
Directions: Heat in a pan the canola oil and honey. Put all other ingredients into a bowl. Pour the honey mix onto the granola and mix well. Split the batch and place on two cookie sheets. Place in a 350 degree oven. Let cook for 5 minutes and then take the pans out to stir. Place back in the over for another 5 and do the same. I do this 3 times but watch it carefully. The goal is to toast not burn. Oven temps vary. When it cools you can add dried fruit. Will last in an airtight container for a long time.
You can substitute items and make the recipe your own. Enjoy.
