Seeds are good for us and we should all be eating more seeds. This recipe comes from Eatseed.com.
Ingredients:
1 cup of old fashion oats
1 cup cereal
1/2 hemp seeds
1 Tbl chia seeds
1 Tbl flax seeds
1/3 cup raisins or other dried friut
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch salt
1/2 cup maple syrup or brown rice syrup
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup dark chocolate chips, non-dairy, melted
Directions:In a food processor combine the hemp seeds and cereal. Blend on high speed until the ingredients are well combined and cut into small pieces. Add that mixture to a large bowl and combine your other dry ingredients and mix well. In a medium sized bowl, mix together the maple syrup, and peanut butter. Heat in a microwave for 45 seconds and then stir in the vanilla. Mix all the ingredients together. Line a pan with parchment paper and use your hands to spread out into a rectangle. Melt the chocolate in the microwave and drizzle or spread onto bars. Freeze for 10 minutes and then cut into bars.
