Oil for frying
2 egg replacer
1/2 cup non dairy milk
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cup peeled sliced pears
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil to 375 degrees
Stir the non dairy milk, brown sugar, flour, and baking soda into the egg replacer. Add the pears to the batter and coat well.
Fry battered pears in oil for 2 to 3 minutes, turning once, until lightly browned. Drain the pears on paper towels.
Dust cinnamon and confectioners’ sugar and serve
