This is a recipe for making your own meat crumbles. You can also swap out the seasoning for chili powder for chili or taco seasoning for tacos.
Ingredients:
1 cup bulgur wheat
1 1/4 cups water
1/2 cup walnuts, ground
1 Tbl dried onion flakes
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbl nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbl soy sauce
1 Tbl beef like seasoning
8 oz can tomato sauce
Directions: Mix everything in a saucepan and bring to a boil . Cover, reduce heat and simmer until thick. Remove from heat and let set for 10 minutes. To use as is place in a skillet over medium heat until brown stirring often. You can add a cup of onion to the mixture while browning the mixture.
