This is a seasonal food. If you don’t have fiddleheads in your area you can substitute brussel sprouts.
Ingredients:
2 Tbl water
2 Tbl raw cane sugar
2 Tbl vinegar
1 Tbl lemon juice
1 Tbl oil
Pinch of pepper
3-4 cups fresh fiddleheads
Directions: Cook the fiddleheads in water until boiling. Drain the water and cook add new water and cook until tender. In another saucepan add the other ingredients. Heat on low and stir occasionally until heated through and sugar is dissolved. Drain the fiddleheads and place in serving bowl and immediately pour sauce over the fiddleheads.
