With the coronavirus now hitting Maine I would like to offer you this recipe for an immune boosting smoothie that takes less than 5 minutes to make and is delicious.
In a blender add:
1/2 full of greens-any of the following…arugula, spinach, swiss chard, collard greens, mustard greens, beet greens
1 orange or lemon or lime
1 cup berries-any of the following…strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
1 Tbl seeds-any of the following…Sunflower seeds,flax seeds, sesame seeds pumpkin seeds
Water or orange juice
3 drops of liquid vitamin D.
Blend up and serve. The greens are anti-inflammatory, the citrus have Vitamin C, the berries are antioxidant, water is hydrating, seeds have healthy fats, minerals and vitamins and vitamin D is for your immune system. Drink up, stay safe and hopefully coronovirus free.
